Compliance to Rights for People with Disability Act 2016 (RPWD16)

Rights for People with Disabilities Act 2016 (RPWD16), passed on 27th December 2016, replace the PwD Act of 1995. The Act was notified on 15th June 2017. For the first time, the Act has provided a clear mandate for private-sector organizations, though there is no mention of quota for hiring people with disabilities.

  1. Conducting sessions to demystify the RPWD16 Act and its mandate for private sector organization
  2. Creating a non-discriminatory environment by conducting sensitization sessions for the management and employees of the organization.
  3. Developing Equal Opportunity Policy as mandated in the RPWD16
  4. Conducting Physical Infrastructure Access and Web Access audits.
